France forward Antoine Griezmann won the UEFA EURO 2016 Adidas Golden Boot after scoring six goals for his national side.
He beat Silver Boot laureate Cristiano Ronaldo who had 3 goals and Bronze Boot winner Olivier Giroud – who also had 3 goals but played less minutes than the Portuguese star.
18-year-old Portuguese wonder-kid Renato Sanches was named the SOCAR Young Player of the Tournament.
The midfielder pipped France’s Kingsley Coman and Portugal team-mate Raphael Guerreiro to pick up the award.
Sanches had come on as a substitute in all of Portugal’s group stage games and as a result of his amazing performance, he was given a starting shirt in the team’s quarterfinal win over Poland.
Sanches went on to score his first international goal that night in Marseille, making him the third-youngest player to score in the tournament.
