Edo governor, Adams Oshiomhole yesterday fired his commissioner for commerce and industry, Abdul Oroh.
His chief press secretary, Peter Okhiria confirmed this, saying the sack was with “immediate effect.
The governor didn’t give reasons for the abrupt sack, his chief press secretary Okhrika simply said the commissioner was sacked “in the public interest.”
The governor then thanked Oroh for his “invaluable services to the state”.
The governor has approved the appointment of Kerry Emokpare as commissioner-designate to replace him.
