Commotion in House of Representatives over oil subsidy removal

The House of Representatives chambers was in chaos during its plenary sessions as members were debating the new deregulation of the oil sector and the removal of oil subsidy that has led to the increase of the pump price of petrol from N86.50 to N145 per liter.House of Reps
Split along party lines, the PDP lawmakers were reported to be angry with their APC counterparts for staging #Occupy Nigeria protest in 2012 when the Goodluck Jonathan led government attempted to remove the oil subsidy.

The Minister of state for Petroleum resources, Ibe Kachikwu, is been expected to appear before the house to explain the reason behind the recent removal of oil subsidy.
