President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Buhari spoke with Merkel on issues ranging from terrorism, nation building and the economy.
Buhari writing on his personal Facebook page, said, “My team and I met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and her team at the Chancellery in Berlin this morning. We had very fruitful discussions on a range of issues: the fight against terrorism and the rebuilding of the Northeast, trade and economic relations between Nigeria and Germany, among others.
“Later today I will deliver an address at a Germany-Nigeria Business Forum, that will be attended by German and Nigerian businesspersons and investors. I will tell the audience about what we’re doing to secure Nigeria, fight corruption and the abuse of public trust, and revamp and diversify our economy.
“I will also be reiterating our message that Nigeria is open for business and investment, and we will do everything to protect domestic and foreign investment.”
