The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) said it has no knowledge of the arrest of Ahmed Salkida, a journalist declared wanted by the military over alleged connections to Boko Haram militants.
The Defence spokesman, Brigadier General, Rabe Abubakar told Daily Trust that the military has no knowledge of his arrest as at the time of filing this report.
Online media, Sahara reporters had published a story alleging that Nigerian Journalist with access to Boko Haram, Ahmad salkida, has been arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
According to the site, the journalist was arrested from the door of the Emirates Flight EK785 aircraft that brought him to Abuja by security forces.
