Barely six days after the release of a lecturer of the University of Port Harcourt, UNIPORT Dr. Reginald Ohiri of the Department of Biochemistry, gunmen have abducted another lecturer, Prof. John Okoli.
Okoli was kidnapped at the close of work yesterday and whisked off to an unknown destination.
Dr. William Wodi, spokesman of the institution confirming the abduction, described the development as frightening. He appealed to the kidnappers to free the lecturer unconditionally, urging government and security agencies to beef up security in the school.
