Buhari fires JAMB chief, approves appointment of 17 new heads of Parastatals & agencies under Ministry of Education

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday sacked 16 heads of key agencies under the Federal Ministry of Education. The affected agencies are the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the Universal Basic Education Commission ( UBEC), National Examinations Council (NECO), Tertiary Education Trust Fund( TETFUND) and 12 others.Pres. President Buhari also approved the appointment of 17 new CEO of Parastatals & agencies under Fed Min of Education and appointed a new Executive Secretary for the National Universities Commission (NUC).

A statement by a deputy director in the ministry, Benjamim Goong, said the new chief executives had been invited to meet with the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu today Tuesday in Abuja.
