Benue state government has declared every Friday a work free day to enable workers in the state work on their farms so as to be able to produce food for their families to eat.
The work free friday begins today, June 10 and will last till end of July, 2016.
Governor Samuel Ortom, said the decision was taken to enable workers to produce food to feed their families in the current economic downturn which has made the regular payment of salaries a major challenge.
