Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has relieved all his media aides, including the Chief Press Secretary of their duties.
This development was announced in a press statement issued by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Chijioke Nwakodo.

According to Nwakodo, the sack is with immediate effect and the affected officers were directed to hand over government property in their possession to his office. The governor thanked the officers for their service to the state.
The list of sacked media team included the Special Adviser to the Governor on Electronic Media, Mr Ugochukwu Emezue, who is a one-time CPS to former Gov. Theodore Orji. Others were Messrs Uche Nwosu, Ebere Uzoukwa, Ojo Maduekwe, Keshi Ukaegbu and Linda Osuala.
