The Nigerian Senate will soon enact a legislation that would prescribe death penalty for kidnappers.
Senator Adamu Aliero (Kebbi Central), on Wednesday, proposed that the National Assembly should enact a law prescribing the death sentence.
Senator Dino Melaye (Kogi West) subsequently seconded Aliero’s motion.
The motion was put to vote by Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and it was unanimously adopted by the members of the red chamber of the National Assembly.
