The Jos Wildlife Park on Sunday said it had refilled its stock with more animals through exchange programmes.
The General Manager of the park, John Doy, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in Jos.
Mr. Doy said the animals were acquired through exchange with Audu Bako Zoo, Kano and Sanda Kyarimi Zoo in Maiduguri, Borno.The General Manager of the park, John Doy, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in Jos.
“We acquired a pair of crocodiles, red-fronted gazelle and male Equis Calabus through exchange programme with the two zoos. The step is expected to reposition the park for more revenue, which will be ploughed back to make the facility more attractive. We are planning to further equip the park to meet the needs of modern researchers and compete globally with other parks,” he said.
