A new national president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the body of lecturers in the university across the federation has emerged.
He is the immediate past Vice-President of the union and a lecturer at the Department of Curriculum Studies and Instructional Technology, Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago Iwoye, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi.
Ogunyemi was elected early Monday morning at the just concluded National Delegates' Conference of the union which was held at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Ogunyemi takes over from Dr Nasir Isa Fagge of the Bayero University, Kano.
