Senate invitation on Chibok girls: NSA, Service Chiefs missing

The National Security Adviser and the Service Chiefs, on Wednesday, failed to appear before the Nigerian Senate to explain the efforts of the security agencies towards rescuing the kidnapped Chibok girls and the anti-terrorism fight.Service Chief
Of those invited by the Senate, only the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase, and the Director-General of the Department of State Security (DSS), Lawal Daura, were in attendance.

The Senate had last week invited the security chiefs to brief them on the ongoing onslaught on Boko Haram and the kidnapped girls, two years after their abduction from Chibok, Borno state.
The closed session of the Senate was presided over by the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.
