The Code of Conduct Tribunal trial of Senate President, Bukola Saraki, was on Wednesday, adjourned to April 18, as a result of power failure.
The power failure took place while prosecuting counsel, Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), was conducting cross examination on a witness.
Saraki’s counsel, Kanu Agabi had initially pleaded with the Chairman of the Tribunal, Danladi Umar, to adjourn the trial.
He however, maintained that he was ready to continue with the case until 6pm.
But as the lights went out, Justice Umar had no choice but to adjourn the case.
