Fulani herdsmen abducts university staff in Delta

A non-academic staff of the Delta State University in Abraka, John Ogeleke was kidnapped on Thursday, April 21 at Kwale, Ndokwa West Local Government Area in Delta State. Fulani Herdsman
Ogeleke is believed to have been kidnapped by men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.
According to Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Celestina Kalu, Ogeleke was driving towards Ogume from Kwale when he was accosted and kidnapped at gunpoint by the suspected herdsmen.

The police revealed that four Fulani herdsmen had emerged from a nearby bush with weapons, halted Ogeleke’s car, kidnapped and took him into the bush.
The police however, revealed that a search party has been organised for him.
The police further said that the Fulani leader in Kwale has been approached to assist in the search.
It is reported that the kidnappers have demanded for N5 million as ransom for the release of the kidnapped Ogeleke.
