Boko Haram attacks Nigeria military commander’s convoy

Suspected Boko Haram insurgents on Tuesday ambushed the convoy of the Acting General Officer Commanding, GOC, 7 Division killing one and injuring 2, the Nigerian Army has said.GOC 7 Division Nigeria Army
The Boko Haram members laid an ambush for the  Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC), 7 Division Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Victor Ezugwu , whose convoy was enroute Bama for a visit to the troops.

After a brief gun battle, the soldiers were able to clear the ambush, killing some of the terrorists and recovered vehicles and weapons from them. The recovered items include a Toyota Hilux vehicle, 2 AK-47 rifles and several ammunitions.Nigeria Army-in-Baga

The Acting GOC has continued on his operational visit to Bama, while the body of the late soldier and the wounded have been evacuated to Maiduguri.
