Harrison Ford And Steven Spielberg Are Pairing Up For A Fifth 'Indiana Jones'

Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford will reunite for a fifth "Indiana Jones" movie. Walt Disney Studios announced the sequel on Tuesday in a press release, revealing that the as-yet-untitled project is slated to hit theaters July 19, 2019.Harrison Ford and Spielberg

“Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019,” said Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn.  “It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.”

Spielberg and Ford teamed up for the first Indy movie in 1981 with "Raiders of the Lost Ark." The franchise continued with 1984's"Temple of Doom," followed by 1989's "Last Crusade" and 2008's "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."

Perhaps not surprisingly, news of the forthcoming sequel sparked quite the response from Twitter, specifically from users who seem hung up on Ford's age. The actor will be 77 years old when the film hits theaters in 2019.
