Nine Ekiti lawmakers have fled to Ibadan, Oyo State, saying detectives from the Force Criminal Investigation Department, Abuja, arrived Ado Ekiti on Tuesday to arrest them. They said they had to run because it was glaring their lives were no longer safe.
According to what they said in a press conference they called in Ibadan yesterday, Wednesday, 30th of March, 2016, some APC leaders were seen helping the detectives identify their homes, stressing that they fled Ekiti because their lives were being threatened.
According to Gboyega Aribisogan, who spoke on behalf of other lawmakers in Ibadan, said it was ‘necessary to come to Ibadan to alert the public to the new clandestine plot by the APC-led Federal Government to cripple the government of Ekiti State’.
