Marilyn Ogar, the former spokesperson of the Department of State Services (DSS) has dragged Federal Government to the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) over her sack.
She wants the court to cancel both her sack and demotion from assistant director to chief security intelligence officer. She also wants the court to restore her rank, salaries and benefits. NICN President Justice Babatunde Adejumo heard her prayers yesterday in Abuja.
Those named as defendants in the suit filed by Ahmed Raji, SAN, are the Attorney General of the Federation, the State Security Service (SSS) and the Director General SSS.
Ogar was promoted alongside 44 others in the twilight of the Goodluck Jonathan administration. But the Buhari administration reversed the promotions, citing irregularities and breach of extant rules guiding such actions.
