There are reports of increased tension in Kaduna as members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria protest the arrest of their leader, Sheik Zakzaky and the death of their members during the 2-day violent clash with the Nigerian Army.
The Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd), has arrived Kaduna State to assess the situation in the state, following the clash between the Nigeria Army and the Islamic Movement of Nigeria.
The minister, who is on his way to Zaria where the clash occurred, made a brief stop at the Kaduna State Government House to see Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
