The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Momoh Jimoh was this afternoon impeached by his colleagues.
His impeachment was endorsed by 17 of the 25-member House. He was accused of financial recklessness and misconduct.
The House then elected Hon. Godwin Osiyi, representing Ogori/Magongo State constituency, to take the place of the deposed Speaker. The Kogi State House of Assembly comprises of 14 PDP members and 11 APC members.
