Fashola, Amaechi, Lai, Ngige, Mama Taraba, others make Buhari’s ministerial list

Former governors of Lagos, Rivers, Ekiti and Anambra states, Babatunde Fashola, Rotimi Amaechi, Kayode Fayemi and Chris Ngige are among names President Muhammadu Buhari submitted to the Nigerian Senate on Wednesday, The Cable reports.

The news site said also on the list are first governor of Abia State, Ogbonnaya Onu, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma (Akwa Ibom), former CPC legal adviser, Malami Abubakar, former CPC governorship candidate in Oyo State, Adebayo Shittu.

Aisha Alhassan, who lost the Taraba governorship election to PDP’s Darius Ishiaku is one of the females on the list.

Dr Emmanuel Kachikwu, Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), was included.

He is expected to serve as Minister of State for Petroleum as Buhari has confirmed that he will head the ministry.
