A housekeeper, Vivian Simeon-Michael, was yesterday sentenced to two months imprisonment by an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for stealing. 20-year old Vivian was convicted for stealing her employer’s underwear and other items, valued at N295, 000.
The presiding magistrate sentenced her after the lady pleaded guilty to the one-count charge brought against her by the police.
She, however, did not give the convict an option of fine stressing that she is a first offender who must see that crime does not pay.
