FG confirms recall of non-career Ambassadors

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on yesterday confirmed the recall of non-career ambassadors and ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary on tour of duty abroad.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Public Communication Division of the Ministry, made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
It stated that the exercise was in line with routine movement in the diplomatic service.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to reconfirm the recall of non-career ambassadors, ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic on tour of duty abroad”, it stated.PMB
 The ambassadors recalled were mostly members of Jonathan’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Among those affected are Ojo Madueke who was posted to Canada and Bianca Ojukwu who was posted to Spain. Others are Dalhatu Tafida (UK), Professor Ade Adefuye (USA), Taofeek Arapaja (Jordan), Fidelia Njeze (Switzerland), Yemi Farounbi (Philippines), Olatokunbo Kamson (Jamaica) and Cornelius Oluwateru (UAE).
Others are Abubakar Shehu Bunu (Saudi Arabia), Chive Kaave (Argentina), Tukur Mani (Iran), Abiodun Nathaniel Olorunfemi (Namibia).
Also affected are Okwudili Nwosu (Burundi), Okeke Chukwuemeka (Vatican), Eric Aworahbi (Italy), Dauda Danladi (Pakistan), Katherine Okon (Czeck Republic), Princess Victoria Bosede Onipede (Republic of Congo), Senator Haruna Garba (Kuwait), Nonye Rajis-Okpara (Singapore), Eddy Onuoha (Hungary), Adamu Babangida Ibrahim (Syria) and Sam Jimba (Poland).
