Extra-ordinary singer “Burna Boy” has set a pace/standard in the Nigerian music industry by signing a new deal with global brand Island Records, a subsidiary ofUniversal Music Group.
The talented Reggae/Dance-Hall act took to Social Media to make the announcement moments ago and made the bold claim of being the first contemporary Nigerian act to OFFICIALLY sign a deal with the power brand.The former Aristocrat Records front-runner had been independent since he parted ways with the label sometime last year. This is surely a step in the right direction for an artiste who’s possibly one of the most underrated names in the game. He should be clearing out all the major awards yearly.
