A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has reduced the bail conditions it earlier granted the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh.Metuh
Justice Abang Okon had on the 19 of January granted Metuh bail in the sum of N400m with sureties who have landed properties only in Maitama.

Obasanjo writes letter to Saraki and Dogara, criticize them over plans to buy more cars for their legislative duties

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has written a letter to the Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara criticizing them over the reported plans to buy more cars for each Senator to carry out their legislative duties.OBJ
In the letter dated January 13th, Obasanjo stated that it was insensitive of the legislators to think of buying more cars considering the critical state of the Nigerian economy.

President Buhari departs on a 3-day official visit to Kenya

FG to recover additional $750m Abacha loot soon — AGF, Malami

The Federal Government of Nigeria, Tuesday disclosed that it would soon recover additional $750 million said to be part of “Abacha loot.”Abubakar-Malami
The Attorney-General of the Federation, AGF, and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami made this disclosure during an interactive session with the House of Representatives Committee on Justice in Abuja.
Malami also said his ministry was aiming at recovering on behalf of the Federal Government £6.9 million said to have been misappropriated by a former governor of Delta State, James Ibori.

Buhari appoints Alake of Egbaland as Ebonyi Federal University Chancellor
